BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Dominic Laperriere is a film editor known for his work on Honey Boy, winner of the Special Jury Award for Vision and Craft in the U.S. Dramatic competition at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. His recent work includes Dayveon, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, Kicks, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and was released by Focus Features, and The Free World, which premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. Dominic is also known for his work on Fishing Without Nets, winner of the Best Director award in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

 

Born and raised in Southern California, Dominic graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Film Studies. He began his career at a commercial editorial in New York, before moving back to Los Angeles to continue his work in feature films.  Over his career Dominic has edited commercials, music videos, television pilots, and feature films.
